"Stripes and Flowers," a San Francisco Treat!

Welcome to Spring, ladies. Or at least the closest thing that we'll have to Spring if we are living in the City by the Bay. Our recent warm weather has been quite the tease and with it, our pretty 'Friscettes have been wearing less layers and being more bare.

You'd pretty much have to be blind and live in Oakdale to not see that stripes and flowers are back. Big time.  Now, the trick to this crazy mixture of patterns is to pick one prominent, louder pattern and choose a quieter pattern which serves as a neutral to mix. Make sense? Here are some lovely examples of how one can mix and match.

Welcome to 100 or Bust!

This blog is dedicated to all of you other fashionistas and bargainistas just like me. What's a bargainista, you say? You're the girl who gets excited when you see a sale sign in a shop window? You laugh inside when that girl at work tells you she spent 200 bucks on a pair of shoes, when you know that Asos.com has a better looking pair that costs $40. If you see three numbers before .00 you keep on walking until you see the same dress with only two numbers before .00? Then, welcome. You're a bargainista!

Let's face, the way we get dressed in the morning, it's art. It's self expression. It is a representation of who we are, what we feel, and what we want to accomplish. It connects us to our past. It evokes memories of childhood. What we wore on that date. The party with the girls. How we feel when we dance. Sing. Cry. Laugh.

So if what we wear is so important, then why not spend the big bucks?! We ladies have spent too long working our touchases off to finally get even close to what a man with the same job makes. We should respect our money, respect ourselves, and dress for less. That's why nothing you see on this blog will ever be more than $100. Ever.

'Nuff said.   Now, on to the clothes.
